Pressure Die Casting: Process, Advantages and Applications
Pressure die casting is a casting method that injects molten or semi-molten metal into a metal mold cavity at high speed under high pressure, and then solidifies under pressure. It offers high production efficiency (suitable for mass production) and high casting accuracy (dimensional tolerance grades can reach CT3–CT6, surface roughness is generally Ra0.8–3.2 μm), enabling the production of thin-walled, complex-shaped components.
The main materials used include non-ferrous metals such as aluminum alloys, zinc alloys, and magnesium alloys, widely applied across manufacturing sectors like automotive industry, electronics, and robotics.
